As we near the end of February, so too do we near the end of National Food Canning Month. Becky Stark, part owner of Midnight Sun Farm at Prairie Crossing in Grayslake, has canned and preserved food for years, whether in California, on the farm in Grayslake or in her parents’ backyard. Canning is a family affair for Stark and she often makes jams with the berries growing in her father’s yard.

ANTIOCH – Antioch School District 34 is welcoming Adam Sax as the next principal of W.C. Petty Elementary School starting July 1. The decision follows the retirement of current Principal Mary Kay McNeill, who has served for nearly three decades.
